Icy Cranberry Margaritas

This past week we finally had a warm day down here in Miami, even though our climate is generally warmer than the rest of the country. These past few days it's either been chilly (in the 60sF) or rainy, no real sun. Then, the other day, there was sun, nice warm sun that just made everything seem so pretty! The prettiness really called for a refreshing drink, something with liquor, something fruity, something icy. This drink really met all those criteria. I'm glad I found this recipe in the Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book. It is perfect for a sunny day, a special event, or just drinks with friends. I can't wait 'til the summer comes so I can try this recipe out on my friends in Colombia!

Icy Cranberry Margaritas
*makes 6 servings*

orange wedge
1/4 cup frozen cranberry juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup frozen mixed berry juice concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup tequila
1/4 cup orange liqueur
3 tbsp melon liqueur
5 cups ice cubes

1) Rub an orange wedge around the rims of six margarita glasses. Dip rims into a dish of sugar to coat; set aside.
2) In a blender combine cranberry juice concentrate, mixed berry juice concentrate, tequila, orange liqueur, and melon liqueur. Cover and blend until combined. With blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, through opening in lid, blending until mixture becomes slushy. Pour into prepared glasses.
